Kensington Mums favourite Summer Picks at Trotters

Kensington Mums were thrilled to visit the new Trotters store, situated just few steps away from the previous store on High Street Kensington. We were looking forward to meeting the founder herself, Sophie Mirman and together pick our favourite outfits for babies, toddlers and children this Summer.

We must admit this was not an easy task as picking favourites is almost impossible where every single outfit is of highest quality, beautiful and unique.

We started in the newborn & baby section which has the cutest ‘mini outfits’. From soft Pyjamas to lighter and colourful one- pieces and beautiful dresses for the girls. They also stock hats, little slippers for the very first days and cuddly friendly toys to comfort your little ones.

1. Baby boy “Harry Smocked Bubble”  and baby girl matching”Jemima Smocked Bubble”.

We loved these for their details: The little blue train for boys and the cute yellow ducklings for the girls. The little white collar on each give it a touch of elegance making it an outfit for all occasions for your baby.
2. Baby Girls Cake party dress worn with white Sophie cardigan and white Millie sandals.
This is the perfect party dress, with delicious looking cakes designed all over the dress and a pretty pink bow at the front. We believe that any girl would look delightful in it.
3. Little Blue Striped Toby Dungarees
Dungarees are our all time favourites for little ones. We believe Trotters dungarees give a classic look with “English touch” with the three Royal Guards design on it.  And please look closely at matching design on the top’s collar.. could it get any cuter?
4. Girls Catherine dress worn with Sophie cardigan and Hampton classics silver Mia sandals.
The Catherine dress is a classic for Trotters. The dress’s cut and style stays the same but they manage to give it an ongoing  fresh look by adding colour and slightly different prints depending on the season.
This is a perfect look for a party or special ceremony with beautiful sandals this summer for a baby girl as well as the perfect everyday or night look for toddlers or older girls worn with leggings or shorts (shown in 2nd image) with more casual summer Hampton shoes.  Either way, we love it!
4. Boy Navy Gingham Oscar Shirt with White Charlie Chino Shorts.
Whatever the season, blue and white are a wonderful colour combination. We find the cut collar on a shirt gives a smart/ casual look that looks good on everyone, from toddlers to more grow up boys and when you roll up the sleeves, thats when you go from cool to coolest.
Dina’s favourite: Cherry Dress
Everything about this dress I love. The colour, the collar and the three cherries at the front. I can imagine my little girl wearing it and it brings a big smile to my face.
Nathalie’s favourite: Elsa Playsuit
“I love this, its so simple but elegant at the same time. Dress it up for a family dinner out during the holidays or dress it down on the way to the beach.  Its just perfect and wish they did it in my size too”.
5. Our favourite Summer beach wear
Elephant Swim short & Matching Elephant T-shirt
We couldn’t get enough of  this Summers’ matching Father & Son Swim Short. We especially liked the elephant one as they have created a matching elephant top which go perfectly together.
Liberty Art Fabric – Tantum Bow Swimsuit with White Sun hat
Liberty print is always a win and on this swimsuit it would make any girl look like a doll…The print, the colours, the little bows,  we love it all!
Pink Bobble Trim Kaftan with White Hampton Shoes
Kaftans are a must when packing for a beach holiday because of their practicality, no need for anything else but that over any swimsuit or bikini and easy to match with flip-flops, sandals or even trainers. What we love about this one is that it looks simple but the details on the sleeves and collar give it an elegant touch.
The new store is fantastic, so spacious and full of gorgeous clothes, shoes, great toys and hair dressing area with the most stunning fish tank. Trotters team definitely know how to make children happy and in this store they went all out with the most amazing Pirate ship for the kids to play whilst parents shop.
We had already had the pleasure to interview Sophie Mirman for our Motherhood exhibition back in May 2016 and it was wonderful to see her again. We enjoyed hearing more about Trotter’s history, the brand today and see the stunning Summer collection in  store.  Sophie’s passion for her work is inspiring and we cannot thank the whole “Trotters family” enough for creating  what they have,  and turning shopping & haircuts for children a truly enjoyable experience for the whole family.
We would also like to thank Trotters for the ongoing support they have given Kensington Mums and for spoiling our mums and families with a special offer which will run for the first 3 weeks of August 2017. ”  10% discount code for online for the first three weeks of August”. Stay tunes for details.
Thank you for having us
