Halloween Make-Up Inspired by Lady Gaga

Halloween Make-Up Inspired by Lady Gaga statement sequin eyes

Make-up artist Viorela Coman, shares with us how to achieve a super easy, yet truly unique Halloween make-up look, inspired by the striking Lady Gaga.

The concept behind this look is that the eyes will be the focus point of your face, their mesmerizing texture and unusual shape will make heads turn, no doubt about it.

First things first, you need to cover your eyebrows and make them invisible – use a bit of Pritt Glue stick and press it against the eyebrows, in the hair growth direction. This will secure your eyebrows once the glue is dry so you can then create the fascinating shape for the eye.

A brush and face paint (Zoeva flat brush: 233 Cream Shader and Snazaroo Face Paint: orange colour) is all you need to define the big flattering shape around your eyes, you can even app two layers for the perfect saturation and leave it for 2 minutes to dry. The orange shape should leave out the eye socket where you can perfect an eye-liner along the lash line and a creamy soft pencil on the waterline (Soap And Glory Smoulder Kohl Superblack Waterproof Eyeliner).

After that, feel free to apply the same colour sequins for a 3D effect – there are plenty to choose from arts and crafts stores. Best way to keep them in place is eyelash glue (Duo is the most recommended and has never disappointed me).

For the eyes to look completely mesmerizing finish them off with a pair of Demi-Wispies, the closer to the lash you apply the strip, the better they will look.

The rest of your face can be prepped the same way: moisturiser (Dr. Dennis Gross – Firming Peptide Milk, a lightweight moisturizing formula that suits most skin types), primer, foundation and also dab a bit of translucent powder on your T-Zone. My latest discovery is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous foundation, it has a gorgeous finish and is truly long-wearing.

Last, but not least, the lips! They need to match the eyes, so choose a  warm, brick red tone to complete the look – have you tried the Rodial Suede Lips in Rodeo Drive jumbo crayon? It has a matte finish and a creamy texture at the same time. This choice is best since it is long wearing and it saves you time, no need for a lip pencil anymore since the jumbo one does all the work.

Now the lips are done, for the look to be complete, pop on a platinum blonde wig – and you are now Halloween ready!
