Romulo Cafe | London | Review

filipino restaurant in London

A Delicious Feast Straight from the Philippines!

Kensington Mums had a scrumptious dinner at the Romulo Café on High Street Kensington. The place is quite cozy and offers a large variety within the Philippines Cuisine.

We got to sample a number of dishes including Sizzling Chicken Inasal Sisig, a delicious plate of diced chicken that is served sizzling with special spices and chili, garlic and lemon grass as well as Stuffed Squid, Tuna Ceviche and an amazing Rib of Beef with a very special glaze (best to try with their garlic fried rice).

Romulo Café also offers a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes including Young Jackfruit and Coconut Stew served in Coconut Cream as well as Flan of Taro Leaves, Mushroom and Tofu and Wok Fried Noodles with Vegetables.

For Dessert lovers, don’t miss out on the superb Ube Cheese Cake (Purple yam cheesecake topped with sweet young coconut served with coconut ice cream) and Mango Float (Layers of graham crackers and whipped cream topped with fresh mangoes served with mango ice cream).

The drinks menu offers a variety of beverages including their signature cocktails served very creatively and different wines.

The portions are quite filling and the food tastes fresh. Also the staff are quite friendly and the whole place feels like a family run business. It is a nice place for lunch and/or dinner. They also cater for special events and deliver.
