From the 27th November until the 20th December, The Leadenhall Building, better known as The Cheesegrater, will be transporting visitors back in time with an 80s themed après-ski Christmas experience.
The Christmas cheer includes a FREE pop-up cinema showing Christmas classics such as Home Alone, Elf and Love Actually.
Visitors just have to register online here.
The cinema schedule:
5th December 2019 (7pm) Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
12th December 2019 (7pm) Elf
19th December 2019 (7pm) It’s A Wonderful Life
The building’s public space will be transformed into an après-ski resort featuring faux trees, chalet bars, attendants in brightly coloured ski suits and even an authentic Courchevel ski lift cable car for guests to enjoy a drink within.
The Cheesegrater’s very own Black Sheep Coffee will be running pop-up chalet bars throughout the day and into the evening, offering mulled wine, mulled cider and warm mince pies, Monday to Friday. The LED-Bites Food Market will offer street food pop ups with bespoke après-ski themed menus.
Taking pride of place will be an arcade-style ski simulator which will be available for everyone to enjoy as they immerse themselves in ‘Christmas at The Leadenhall Building’ and, to encourage some friendly competition, there will be a ski simulator tournament every Wednesday evening led by a compére with live leader boards.
On Fridays, busy City workers will be able to take advantage of a present-wrapping service, featuring custom-designed wrapping paper and ribbons.
The Leadenhall Building earned its nickname The Cheesegrater on account of its distinctive triangular shape and is the tallest completed skyscraper in the City of London. The après-ski- themed festivities will take place in the building’s half-acre Public Space, at the base of the building at 122 Leadenhall Street.
Keeping you in the Loop
On 12 December, 7pm – 9pm, there will be a FREE screening of Christmas favourite ‘Elf’ at The Cheesegrater – the skyscraper located at 122 Leadenhall Street, EC3V 4AB

The screening is part of an 80s themed après-ski Christmas experience in the building’s public space, featuring faux trees, chalet bars, attendants in brightly coloured ski suits and even an authentic Courchevel ski lift cable car for guests to enjoy a drink within.
