Situated in the legendary Gore Hotel in Kensington, 190 Queen’s Gate, features a unique menu created by Chef Daniel Galmiche who has previously earned a Michelin star.
French cuisine with a British twist delighted Kensington Mums upon a unique experience surrounded by a lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
Just a few blocks to the Royal Albert Hall, is an amazing place for a pre-theatre meal with friends in a beautiful ambient.
We started the evening with some drinks at the impotent bar, decorated with plenty of different types bottles, giving it a special touch. A cosy and comfortable place to relax!
Our favorite part without doubt was dinner time! Such an elegant dining room beautifully laid out, where history still permeates with antique and original artworks details.
The staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel most welcome providing an excellent service during our stay. Homemade bread with flavoury butter along with white wine was the perfect match to start.
We couldn’t resist asking the three of us for the same starter “Duck liver parfait”, accompanied by hot and toasted brioche to serve whit it. Definitely my favorite one!
For the main, we had fish and pork options, served in very nice presentation with a variety of potato types and good combination of roasted vegetables.
One their star dishes is the crispy semolina gnocchi with a tomato sauce and hazelnut crump that we shared in the middle (just a little hungry haha). Different but non less good as the traditional ones with a very tasty crisp.
And there is no happy ending without sugar taste. Following waiter’s suggestion, we decided for the vanilla crème brûlée with goat milk ice cream and poach rhubarb pistachio crumble with lemon and lime cream.
Delicious desserts to end up the night with a full and happy belly enjoying with friends in a perfect place!
