Meet our Mummy speakers:

Béatrice de Montille, a French mum living in London, created the bespoke hand-engraved jewellery brand Merci Maman in 2007 from her kitchen table. Béatrice now sits alongside her husband, Arnaud, and their team of 20 in their London studio. ‘Merci Maman’ translates to ‘thank you Mummy’ in English and is a nod to the creators’ French origins and the original celebration of the mother and child bond. The jewellery is now loved by men, women, boys and girls of all ages and is even treasured by royalty – The Duchess of Cambridge wears a Merci Maman necklace engraved with Prince George’s name! Their signature Merci Maman orange gift boxes revealing the necklaces, bracelets, rings and accessories are now being given to loved ones all over the world.

Winnie has been working with mothers on a one on one basis for 10 years now.  Her journey began within her local community working with mothers soon after the birth of their children.  She went on to have six children of her own the youngest being twelve-month-old twins and the oldest nine years old. She started working as a Maternity Nurse, Night Nanny that led to work as a Sleep Consultant and Troubleshooter helping mothers find tailor-made solutions to their children’s sleep problems.  During this work she noticed a disturbing pattern; mothers weren’t confident in their own abilities to parent their children.  They were overwhelmed by a vast amount of information from family, friends, social media and the Internet.  They were afraid to ask for help and were worried that they were the only mothers who did not love being a mother all the time. As a result, Winnie saw mothers building walls, keeping out their partners, family and friends.  In her book “Empowering Mothers To Mother” and the purpose for her work; she has set out to break down those walls by offering services that support the mothers on her journey of motherhood; to help mothers realize they already has what it takes to be a mother and an Empowered Mother. Her message Empowering Mothers is to all mothers around the world: you have all it takes to care for your children and be an engaged, happy and content mother.  Most importantly you are not alone.
