Motherhood by Danielle Armstrong

Please introduce yourself

Danielle Armstrong, Founder of The Modesty Company, 2 children – Caia, 3.9 years, Freddie almost 2.

How do you manage to juggle work and life balance as a mother?

It a challenge, but somehow we make it work.

What top tips would you give to any working mum?

Pace yourself. Worrying about your ‘to do’ list will only send you into panic. Try and finish what you start, rather than doing everything all at once.

What do you love most about London? Do you have a favourite spot with your children?

The buzz and opportunity. Kensington gardens/ park is always a favourite for my family.

How do you define quality ‘me-time’?

I love to exercise. It helps to clear my mind and be a better mother, wife.

What is your favourite & least favourite thing about parenthood?

Hearing my children laugh. Bedtime is always a challenge.

Tell us something people don’t know about you.

Adventure. My husband is a former Royal Marine and I would love to train with the Royal Marines for a day.

I’m a mum and……

Given we are all about embracing Motherhood, what advice would you give a first time Mum?

Its ok not to be ok and not have everything figured out right away. Work at your own pace. take bits of advice from friends, family, books but also allow yourself time to figure out the mother you would like to be. I’m learning every day as mother and imagine this will never change.

Finally, please let us know what you love most about Kensington Mums?

Being a mummy can feel lonely at times. Even if you are surrounded by people. Kensington Mums provides an engaging platform to help all mums. We are all in it together, helping each other and learning as we go. What could be better than that!
